After countless singles, remixes and an album release under the well known Progression guise, Daniel Wanrooy now moves on to another level in his career and presents his debut solo album entitled “Slice Of Life”, which will be released in a series of four EPs, showcasing new titles and exclusive remixes.

2010 so far has been a pretty busy year for Daniel. He released singles like “Pretoria” and “Ocean Terrace”, did remixes of titles like “Weather The Storm” by SpaceRockerZ, The Thrillseekers with “Savanna” and saw “Endless Moments”, one of the tracks on his new EP, secured by Ferry Corsten for his latest double mix compilation “Once Upon A Night, Vol.2”, who also put the song in his personal Top 5 of September. The prelude to these achievements and the eventual release of his solo EP was the single “Ocean Terrace”. Richard Durand reserved it for his “In Search of Sunrise 8, South Africa” mix compilation and all the big names, including Tiësto, hammered it in their live sets.

And now Daniel Wanrooy presents the first EP in a series of four that will eventually shape the full album “Slice Of Life”. Daniel has put a lot of effort in the project and ceased the opportunity to move between styles, showcasing his skills as a prolific producer: “For the “Slice Of Life” project my goal was to work with various sounds in order to create a varied album that has something for everybody: progressive, trance, house, minimal and even techno.”

Army Of Love
As you are welcomed with warm earthy tones and techy pulses, a superbly defined stabbing injection of synths stride in lifting an almost haunting hook. Army Of Love evolves in to an ocean of succulent bass, before releasing the wondrous melody in full.

Endless Moments (Album Edit)
Daniel Wanrooy has created something very special in this track, his attention to detail and carefully honed craftsmanship nurtures a deep sensitivity that blossoms inside the ingenious violin strings, waves of emotion spill throughout the hook, delivering a passionate and awe inspiring melody – Endless Moments is dreamily beauteous in every single way!

The intriguing arpeggiated sounds are in abundance from the start, as this track edges forward you can feel the tortuous melody gather pace inside the pit of your stomach, giving the phantasmal sensation of mystery and the unknowing of what is about to present itself. Enigma chants begin to drift through your mind unravelling sloping waves of bassline in the distance, quickly reflected by gentle swoosh effects that spiritually linger on. Be-witching is the melody and collectively mysterious is the end.

Wonderful Wonderful
Carrying the mystery even further, ‘Wonderful Wonderful’ rotates the hook around precious memories that flicker themselves inside a crisp and chunky bassline, creatively laced by a plethora of detail. The breakdown carries your body slowly, sowing your emotions within heart-felt strings of captivation. The result is of-course ‘Wonderful Wonderful!”

As an extra the package contains two exclusive remixes of “Endless Moments” by George Acosta and SpaceRockerZ. Daniel Wanrooy’s “Slice Of Life” is a unique electronic dance album that might become the best addition to your collection!
